ProBatter Sports Riptide wins Farms Softball Championship

Milford Little League’s ProBatter Sports RipTide defeated a determined Bert’s Deli Rebellion team, 7 to 5, to become the Farms Division Champions for 2019. Rebellion led by hits by Cassandra Rodriquez and Madison Bonanno, scored 4 runs in the top half of the first inning to take a quick lead. Bonanno later had a second hit in the fourth inning and scored for a second time for the Rebellion.

But the ultimate City Champs refused to be denied and slowly came back, scoring one run in each of the first two innings, and then breaking it open with 5 runs in the third inning. After the first inning, RipTide’s talented pitchers, Abby Corris and Leah Corris, took control of the game and allowed only one run while striking out 12 Rebellion batters.

RipTide was offensively led by Abby Corris, Leah Corris, Sophia Horvack, and Madison Krauss, each had a hit and scored, with Abby Corris scoring twice. Sophia Scarpa and Luna Montanero also scored for the RipTide to help secure the win.
