Proposal Calls For 80 Apartments At Site Of Milford Restaurant

A developer is resubmitting plans to replace a diner with apartments, according to a report.

MILFORD, CT — A developer is again is seeking to build apartments at the site of the Bridgeport Flyer Diner. A new proposal from Metro Star calls for two buildings with 80 apartments at the site off Bridgeport Avenue, according to Hearst Connecticut Media.

A previous plan called for 50 units and commercial space. The Planning and Zoning Board rejected the request over the summer.

The new plans call for 24 of the apartments to be categorized as affordable, Hearst Connecticut Media reported. All 80 units will be one-bedroom.

For now, the Bridgeport Flyer remains open. The diner has a more than five-decade history in Milford.
