Publishers Clearing House Presents Big Check To Milford Woman

We've all dreamed of being presented with that big check but it became reality for a local woman.

MILFORD, CT — Once can only hope that the knock on the door is from Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes and not a solicitor trying to sell you something. Well, Shakeena Robinson had the good fortune of being one of the few to receive that special knock at the door where smiling faces greet you with an oversized check.

Robinson, 27, opened the door and was greeted with balloons, roses and a $10,000 check, the New Haven Register reports. She has worked as an intern at WTNH News 8 and currently works for News 12 in Connecticut. To sign up for Milford breaking news alerts and more, click here.

With the new found money, she said she'll put it toward paying her student loans. The Register reports that Robinson actually was working out at a nearby gym when Publishers Clearing House arrived, but her father called her and she came home and the $10,000 surprise was still preserved.
