Obituary: Richard D. Lohr, 88, Of Milford

Richard D. Lohr of Milford, passed away peacefully at Milford Hospital on Monday, February 17, 2025. He was the beloved husband of 38 years to Jean Lohr. Richard was born on July 6, 1936 on Long Island to the late Gustov and Freida Lohr.

Richard worked as a mechanic retiring from Northeast Utilities. He enjoyed his hobbies, especially tying his own flies and waterbugs for fly fishing. He always had a project going on in his cellar or could be found outside working in the yard. Richard was a true gentleman and very family oriented. He loved Jean fiercely and was a good listener.

In addition to his wife, Richard will be dearly missed by his nephew, John Lohr of Alabama, and his faithful furry companion, Callie.

Per Richard’s request, all services will be private and at the convenience of his family. The GREGORY F. DOYLE FUNERAL HOME is honored to be in charge of his arrangements.
