Richard David Freeman “Rick” passed away peacefully on March 29, 2024 while in his wife’s loving arms at his home in Branford, CT. Rick was born on June 30, 1960 in Brockton, MA, he was the beloved husband of Denise Freeman.
Rick and Denise met in 1997, it was the beginning of their love story. They married in 2001, if you knew them you knew of the special bond they shared. They built a beautiful life together with their blended family that was filled with laughter from his crazy antics, practical jokes and amazing sense of humor.
Rick’s first career was as a tool and die maker, he worked his way up to an operations manager of a large manufacturing company in Milford, CT. He than followed his passion of carpentry and spent 15 years working for Renewal by Andersen as one of their top installers managing several crews.
He was an extraordinarily compassionate man often helping people during their toughest times; giving them a place to live, giving them a job, and helping the less fortunate with life’s necessities.
He was an avid boater and a member of the Pootatuck Yacht Club for many years. He loved passing his days out on the water on his boat “Bodacious” fishing and soaking up the sun with his friends and family and at night dancing the night away on “Club Bodacious” with DJ Rick playing everyone’s favorite music.
