Richard Hardt Sr, 69, of Milford, husband of the late Deborah “LeCleir” Hardt, passed away on June 19, 2024. Born on November 3, 1954, in New Haven, Connecticut, he was the son of the late William and Alice Hardt.
Richard was raised in Milford, attending Milford High School. He and Deborah remained residents of Milford where they raised their family for the rest of their forty-five years together. Richard was a fan of his favorite sports teams, the Yankees and the Giants. Living in Milford, he enjoyed fishing, as well as golfing. He was a character coupled with a “whacky” sense of humor. He enjoyed making his grandchildren laugh mimicking Donald Duck.
Richard is predeceased by his brothers William (Diane) and John Hardt and is survived by his three children, Richard Hardt Jr., (Dina), Jennifer Zuppe, (Al), and Keri Dempsey, (Martin). His grandchildren Dante, Mia, Taylor, Alyssa, Finnegan, and McKenna. Sister Lee Casey, Brothers Tim Hardt, (Sherri), and Keith Hardt, Mother-in-law Virginia LeCleir, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
