Obituary: Robert Hubbard, Jr, 74, Of Milford
One thing that stood out with Bob was that he likes to make others happy, even if he was down.
Robert Edward Hubbard, Jr., (Bob) of Milford passed away on December 15, 2024, at Griffin Hospital in Derby, CT. Bob was born in New Haven on February 16, 1950, to the late Robert and Dorothy Hubbard, and is survived by his sons: Robert Hubbard III and his wife Avita of Florida, and Grant Hubbard and his wife, Rebecca of Arizona.
Bob worked in several jobs in his lifetime, but there were three jobs that stood out for him and his family: TransLight, Stop&Shop in Orange, and BJs Wholesales in Derby (current job), each of which he worked over 20 years. Bob really appreciated working at BJs and said that the employees and management treated him well.
Bob really loved following sports, especially baseball, and the New York Yankees. He also enjoyed nature, wildlife and traveling, which he instills into his children as well, whom he kept in touch with daily. One thing that stood out with Bob was that he likes to make others happy, even if he was down. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed!
