​Robert Loomis Crego Sr., 87 of Milford, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2026, while at his home in Mil

Robert was a proud U.S. Army veteran who served with the 101st Airborne Division, USPS Postal Worker, Beloved Husband, Father & Grandfather.

Robert Loomis Crego Sr., 87 of Milford, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2026, while at his home in Milford, CT. Robert was born on February 24, 1938, in Milford, CT, to the late Alfredo and Arlene Crego. He was the beloved husband of over 62 years to Edna Crego.

Robert was a proud U.S. Army veteran who served with the 101st Airborne Division during the Korean War. He met the love of his life and they became instant sweethearts, sharing a marriage filled with love and adventure. Together, they traveled extensively throughout the United States and many trips to Las Vegas and Europe, treasuring every journey they took side by side.

For more than 30 years, Robert faithfully served his community as a mailman with the United States Postal Service. Additionally, he worked for a time as a substitute teacher for the Milford School System after earning his master’s degree in education from Southern Connecticut State University. Robert will be remembered for his dedication to service, lifelong love of learning, and devotion to his family.

In addition to his beloved wife, Robert is survived by their two sons: Robert Loomis Crego Jr. (partner Megan) and William J. Crego (wife Theresa). Four grandchildren: Bobbi Allen (husband Jon), Jordan Crego (fiancé Josh Sr.), Baila Guadayo-Crego, and Bianca Guadayo-Crego. Six great grandchildren: Cheyanne, Joshua Jr., Cali, Kairah, Jalen, Aubrey, and step great granddaughter Annalyse. As well as his sister Susan Crego Skidmore. They are survived by Cyndi Hill, Dottie a dear friend and chosen family and many additional beloved nieces, nephews, family and friends. Robert was predeceased by his brother Alfred Crego Jr. and his sister Nancy Casey.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Monday February 9, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday February 10, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street, Milford. Interment will follow on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Milford Cemetery, Cherry St., Milford, CT.
