Rose Marie C. Donahue, age 91, a lifelong resident of Milford, passed away on July 13th 2025
Rose Marie was a member of the Milford Senior Center who fed her poetic spirit by participating in the Writers Unlimited group.
Rose Marie C. Donahue, age 91, a lifelong resident of Milford, wife of the late Theodore M. Donahue, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025, peacefully at home. Daughter of the late Carl and Florence Viola, she was born on February 5, 1934 in Milford, CT.
Rose Marie is survived by her devoted daughter, Karen Donahue Engle; three loving granddaughters Melissa Donahue, Andrea Lake and Jennie-Lynn Mainville, ten beloved great-grandchildren Sydney Bedosky, Gabriel Mainville, Jonas Lake, Nicki Mainville, Cody Mainville, Parker Lake, Greyson Lake, Kayla Weissbach, Katie Weissbach, Keira Weissbach and two cherished great-great-grandchildren Owen Bedosky and Russell Mainville. She is also survived by her sister Dee Stevens and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, Rose Marie is predeceased by her daughter Ruth Wilcox, son Kevin R. Donahue, sister Kathleen Oliver and brother Joseph Viola.
Rose Marie worked as a secretary for D.E.E.R. Technology up until her retirement. In her earlier years, she volunteered her time, supporting the Ft. Trumbull Beach Fire Co. No. 2. Rose Marie was also a member of the Milford Senior Center who fed her poetic spirit by participating in the Writers Unlimited group.

The family is deeply grateful to Joy for the endless care, patience, and kindness that she showed Rose Marie as her caregiver.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Mary Church, 70 Gulf Street, Milford, CT 06460. (PLEASE MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH).
