Runner From Milford Named Team Captain at SCSU

NEW HAVEN, CT — Redshirt senior Steven Cugini of Milford has been named as the captain of the 2018 Southern Connecticut State University men's cross country team, according to head coach John Wallin.

Cugini has been a contributor for both the cross country and track and field teams during his time at SCSU. He has earned multiple All-Region and All-New England laurels for his efforts on the track. In addition, he has also been recognized for his work in the classroom as a multiple NE10 Conference Commissioners Honor Roll selection.

The Owls open the 2018 season on Aug. 31 at the Adelphi Panther Invitational.
