Today, State Senator James Maroney (D-Milford) was sworn in to serve his second term representing the 14th district.

"I am honored to be able to represent Milford, Orange, West Haven, and Woodbridge up in Hartford," said Sen. Maroney. "I pledge to continue working hard to justify the trust that people have placed in me. We have a big task ahead of us to help rebuild Connecticut after the pandemic, and I look forward to working together to make Connecticut even a better place to live, work, and raise a family."
Senator Maroney will also be serving on six separate committees. Sen. Maroney was named co-Chair of the General Law and Regulations Review committees, Vice Chair of the Veterans committee, a member of the Finance, Revenue and Bonding committee, a member of the Insurance and Real Estate committee, and a member of the Higher Education Committee. The session will continue throughout the next several months, mostly remote and will adjourn on June 9, 2021.
