CT Weather: Thunderstorms, Hail Expected Wednesday Afternoon
The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for portions of the state due to the chance of severe weather.
CONNECTICUT — The National Weather Service says we should be prepared for strong-to-severe thunderstorms between 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, which include large hail and strong wind gusts.
A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for Connecticut until 8 p.m., except for Litchfield County.
Not everyone will see severe weather, but some storms could produce strong impacts, according to local weather experts.

The weather service said for southern Connecticut, "There is the potential for severe thunderstorms this afternoon as the Storm Prediction Center has placed the area in a slight risk for severe weather. The main threats would be from damaging winds and hail."
WTNH News 8 chief meteorologist Gil Simmons said, "...Please be ready for a severe thunderstorm with hail and a very strong wind gusts this afternoon! A warning possible. It will turn beautiful tonight and tomorrow as the humidity drops with a dry day for Thursday. A spotty thunderstorm possible Friday but not much and Saturday still looks to be the best day of the weekend."
