Sex Assault Charge For Former Milford Teacher

MILFORD, CT — A Wilbur Cross High School teacher in New Haven was charged with sexual assault related to a reported incident in January. Drama teacher Jennifer Frechette was charged with second and fourth-degree sexual assault, and two counts of risk of injury to a minor.

Interim Superintendent Reginald Mayo said he will recommend that Frechette be terminated. She has been placed on paid administrative leave.

Frechette is a former third grade teacher at Meadowside School. She taught from 1999 until she resigned in 2013, according to the Connecticut Post.

Mayo didn't specify when Frechette was arrested and the state court online database doesn't show any information as of Monday afternoon.
