Obituary: Sharon DeRosa, 68, Of Milford
She was a local business owner with a love for her family as well as animal welfare.

Sharon DeRosa passed away peacefully on November 16, 2024, at the age of 68, with her loving family by her side. Born on May 22, 1956 in Victora Texas, Sharon grew up in Milford Connecticut. Sharon is the daughter of the late Robert Syarto and Carole Syarto.
Sharon worked as an Executive Assistant in various companies such as Labor Force. She then moved on to co-own the Jolly Jug liquor store in Milford with her late husband, Christopher DeRosa. Sharon was an avid music lover with Prince and Aerosmith being her favorites. She was known for her incredible fashion sense and artistic make-up skills. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She always made sure that she and her loving dog Zoe were dressed in the latest fashion trends. She had an infectious laugh that would put a smile on everyone’s face and a wicked sense of humor.
Sharon is preceded in death by her brother Robert Syarto; her cousins Ronald Syarto and Richard Syarto.
Sharon is survived by her mother Carole Syarto, brother James Syarto, daughter Michelle (Michael) Yazdzik, grandsons Zachary Yazdzik and Joshua Yazdzik all of Milford Connecticut. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Rosemarie Syarto, godchildren Kaileigh Syarto and Joseph Syarto, as well as her niece Allison Syarto. Sharon’s extended family includes Clifford and Francis Potocky and their children; cousins Steve (Marilyn) Syarto, and Lauren McInally. She leaves behind her loyal companion Zoe DeRosa
Her legacy of kindness, sassiness, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
The services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rescue Dogs Rock.
