Shrubbery Helps Lead to Milford Man's Arrest: Police

Police say the man was allegedly driving while under the influence of alcohol when he drove into a resident's front lawn.

MILFORD, CT — You could say shrubbery helped lead to a Milford man's arrest for allegedly driving while under the influence of alcohol.

Police said on Dec. 27, officers responded to a motor vehicle accident in the front lawn of a Woodruff Road residence near Orange Avenue.

Investigation led to the arrest of Kermo McKenna, 24, of Orange Avenue, who is accused of driving his motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, police said.

McKenna's vehicle struck shrubbery in the front yard of the residence causing his vehicle to be stuck, police said.

He is charged with DUI and failure to drive right. He was released after posting $500 bond and given a court date of Jan. 26.
