So Many Delays On Roads All Across CT This Labor Day Weekend

CONNECTICUT — If you're traveling this afternoon by vehicle, here's hoping you're driving through New London, Windham, Tolland, and Litchfield counties. There are currently no travel issues in those four Connecticut counties, but there are numerous delays in Fairfield, New Haven, Hartford, and Middlesex counties.

As of 5:45 p.m. Friday, there are more than 20 delays on major roads in Connecticut. All of the delays seen below are still current. Some delays have been ongoing since 7 a.m. Friday.

If you're on Interstate 95 between Greenwich and Fairfield, you can expect congestion totaling 26.6 miles, according to the state Department of Transportation.

At 4 p.m. a multi-vehicle accident was reported in Stamford on I-95 Southbound between exits 9 and 8. The left lane is closed. UPDATE: This Stamford accident has been cleared.

Metro-North Railroad is reporting delays on its New Haven Line. "New Haven service is currently experiencing delays of up to 15 minutes due to earlier wire damage near Green's Farms and an opening of the Cos Cob bridge. Please listen for announcements at your station."
