SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT — The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook and a frost advisory for the Interstate 95 corridor towns.

A frost advisory is in effect from midnight until 8 a.m. Monday. "Temperatures in the middle 30s will result in frost formation."

"Frost could kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if left uncovered," the weather service said.

And the weather service said for coastal sections of Fairfield and New Haven counties, "Minor to localized moderate coastal flooding is becoming increasingly likely for the Monday night high tide cycle. This is due to a combination of coming off of a full moon and a deepening coastal low being preceded by strong easterly winds."

Temperatures could approach the freezing mark tonight, and 1-2 inches of rain is forecast Monday night through Tuesday morning.
