Storm To Bring Heavy Rain Then Snow To Southern CT: Here's How Much To Expect
The National Weather Service released new details on a storm that will impact southern Connecticut's weather on Sunday night and Monday.
SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT — In a winter that has yielded very little snow to date, it appears that everyone in southern Connecticut will see snowflakes on Monday. But don't expect any major accumulation, the National Weather Service said.
Inland sections of southern Connecticut may see up to an inch of snow on Monday, while areas along the coast are expected to see no snow accumulation.
Rain is forecast to move into the state Sunday evening and overspread the entire region by 8 p.m.

The rain may start as a period of wintry mix in interior sections of southern Connecticut, and there could be some minor snow accumulation Sunday night for interior sections of Fairfield County, the National Weather Service said.
Temperatures are expected to rise overnight, and it should be plain rain for everyone, possibly an inch of rain may fall in a short time period. Temperatures are forecast to drop during the day on Monday, and that is when the rain is forecast to turn to snow and mixed precipitation, and some minor accumulation is likely inland.
