Special Weather Statement Issued for Fairfield/New Haven Counties
BREAKING: A strong line of thunderstorms is moving through now.
The National Weather Service has issued a Special Weather Statement for strong thunderstorms moving through parts of Fairfield and New Haven counties:
At 214 PM EDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Georgetown to Melville. Movement was east at 40 mph.
Winds in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail are possible with these storms.
