Special Weather Statement Issued For Southern Connecticut

SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT — The National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement for New Haven, Middlesex and New London counties on Thursday morning.

"Temperatures have fallen right to or below freezing across the portions of CT and Eastern Long Island. The combination of the earlier precipitation and now the freezing temperatures will result in the potential for icy conditions to develop.

"If traveling in this area this morning, be aware of these slippery conditions and proceed with extra caution. Allow extra spacing while driving," the weather service said.
