Strong Thunderstorm Moving Through Fairfield/New Haven Counties
The National Weather Service has just issued the weather statement for parts of Fairfield and New Haven counties.

FAIRFIELD/NEW HAVEN COUNTY — The National Weather Service has issued a Special Weather Statement for portions of Fairfield and New Haven counties due to a strong thunderstorm moving through now.
At 132 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Monroe, or near Shelton, moving east at 20 mph. Winds in excess of 40 mph are possible with this storm.

Bridgeport, New Haven, Milford, Shelton, Newtown, Fairfield, Hamden, Stratford, Trumbull, Branford, North Haven, Monroe, Seymour, North Branford and Orange.

Once this storm moves through it should be mostly sunny and warm for the rest of today and that trend is going to continue for the next several days. The weekend looks dry and sunny and very warm with temps into the mid to upper 80s and we could see 90 degrees on Wednesday.
