Stabbing Victim Tried to Cover For His Brother, Milford Police Say
The Milford brother told hospital staff that he fell on a box of knives injuring himself.

Edward Russow’s brother tried to keep him out of trouble but Milford Hospital staff weren’t buying his story.
Russow’s brother sustained several stab wounds in an altercation with his brother at their Stone Manor Drive residence early Sunday.
Initially, the victim told Milford Hospital staff that he was moving a box up a stairwell, fell and dropped the box containing multiple knives, and he fell on them injuring himself, the New Haven Register reports.

But hospital officials weren’t buying the victim’s story and alerted Milford police.
Police interviewed Russow who told them he wasn’t trying to hurt his brother and that they had a physical dispute over comments Russow made about his brother’s girlfriend, the Register reports.

The victim suffered lacerations to the chest, abdomen and knee areas, police said.
Rossow, 27, was charged with first-degree assault and was ordered held in lieu of $250,000 bond.
