Teresa Victoria Assunto, 73, passed away on February 4, 2025.

Teresa Victoria Assunto, 73 of Seymor and formerly Milford, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2025. Born on October 3, 1951 in Bridgeport, CT, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Kundrac. Teresa was the beloved wife of Anthony “Tony” Assunto for 54 years.

Teresa, lovingly known as Terry, lived a life filled with warmth, kindness, and an unwavering love for family and friends. She met the love of her life, Tony, in high school through town and school sporting events. From the moment they met, they fell head over heels for each other, marrying in 1970 and building a beautiful life together with their two daughters.
Terry dedicated many years as an administrative assistant for CT Orthopedic Surgeons, where her kindness and professionalism left a lasting impact. However, her greatest joy in life was the relationships she nurtured. She was known as a second mom who always offered an open heart and an open home. Her yearly Christmas Eve gatherings were legendary, welcoming family, friends, and even extended loved ones into her warm embrace.
Her bright and fun spirit lit up any room, and she never missed an opportunity to bring people together. Terry shared an unbreakable bond with her daughters. She was not only their mother, she was also their closest friend, confidant, and travel partner. She and Tony also shared a love for travel, embarking on cross-country road trips and enjoying their yearly getaways to Atlantic City, where they cherished time at the casino and the beach.
In her free time, Terry’s creative side and love of crafting brought friends together. Her beloved “Crafty Ladies” group joyfully showcased their creations at holiday markets and households all over the town.
Terry’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and an open heart. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

In addition to her beloved husband, Tony, Terry is survived by her two daughters: Wendy Wade (Richard) and Andrea Silkman. Three cherished grandchildren: Gibbs Wade, Anna Silkman, and Mary Silkman. As well as her sister Victoria Cella, and many beloved family members and friends.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street, Milford. Interment will be held privately by the family.
