Three Charged After Car Chase In Milford: PD

The vehicle was used in two nearby armed carjackings, police said.

MILFORD, CT — Three men were charged with gun and other offenses after a car chase that started in Milford, according to police.

Milford officers attempted to stop a vehicle around 2:30 a.m. Friday, but it fled onto I-95 southbound. The suspect vehicle was used in two armed carjackings in the surrounding area, police said.

The vehicle took exit 35 and then entered the northbound part of the highway before exiting again on the Boston Post Road. Officers disabled the vehicle with tire deflation devices near Peck Lane.

Levante Player, 20, of New Haven and Nazier Beall, 19, of New Haven attempted to flee on foot, but were apprehended, police said. A K9 helped stop Stanley. Police seized a handgun from the scene and found it had a round in the chamber, police said.

A third suspect, identified as Kevin Wilfong-Dixon, 21, of New Haven was found hiding near a dumpster in the area of Pilgrim Furniture Store, police said.

Player and Stanley were held in lieu of $75,000 bail and charged with second-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit second-degree larceny, interfering with police, weapons in a vehicle, conspiracy to commit weapons in a vehicle, carrying a pistol without a permit and conspiracy to commit carrying a pistol without a permit.

Wilfong-Dixon was charged with the same, plus engaging police in a pursuit. He is also a parole absconder, police said. Wilfong-Dixon was held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
