Timeline For Thunderstorms Today, Tuesday In CT Released
Here are new details on when we can expect storms this week in Connecticut and information on dangerous heat conditions as well.
CONNECTICUT — WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons says that the best chance for thunderstorms in Connecticut today is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. There may also be an isolated storm or two later this morning. Today will be hot and humid and it will feel like 100 degrees. More storms are possible late Tuesday evening and on Wednesday too.
The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for the entire state on Monday due to the dangerous heat conditions.
"Hot and humid weather expected today! High temperatures in the 80s and low 90s but the heat index will be around 100. Keep your eyes to the sky later in the afternoon between 4 PM and 8 PM for a few thunderstorms. Nice weather tomorrow and slightly less humid. A few showers and thunderstorms expected on Wednesday afternoon," Simmons says.
