Two People Rescue Victim From Burning Car In Milford
The operator couldn't move much after sustaining serious leg injuries and two good Samaritans dragged him to safety.
MILFORD, CT — Two good Samaritans are being hailed by police as heroes for helping get an injured man to safety as his vehicle caught fire in Milford.
The vehicle went off the roadway and struck a large tree on West River Street near Wolf Harbor Road July 28 around 8:30 p.m. The operator managed to crawl out of the vehicle, but couldn't move much farther than that due to serious leg and hip injuries.
Jake Tymon of Fairfield and Mark Bernier of Milford dragged the victim to safety as the vehicle became engulfed in flames. Milford firefighters extinguished the fire, which completely destroyed the vehicle.

The operator was taken to the hospital for injuries.
