Here are the latest details on our "unsettled weather" over the next couple of days and some big changes coming for the weekend in CT.

CONNECTICUT — The weather Thursday and Friday will be very unsettled with showers and thunderstorms possible today, tonight and Friday morning. A Special Weather Statement has been issued by the National Weather Service for Southern Connecticut this morning as areas of dense fog have developed across the region, which could impact travel conditions.

And in Hartford, Tolland and Windham counties, a Hazardous Weather Outlook has been issued for a chance of localized flash flooding today and tonight. We could see another inch of rain statewide by the time the precipitation ends Friday morning.

But the good news is that once this unsettled weather exits late Friday, Connecticut should see a picture perfect weekend weather with sunshine and temps around 80 degrees.

Unsettled Weather Today, Tonight

"Unsettled conditions will continue ... through Friday morning. A warm front lifts through the region today and will be followed by low pressure and a trailing cold front tonight. Showers are possible at any time today, but the best chance is this afternoon and evening. A few thunderstorms are also possible with strong gusty winds and heavy rain, mainly from the New York City metro north and west.

Showers will continue tonight as the low pressure moves across the region. The cold front and low pressure move offshore Friday morning signaling an end to the unsettled weather. High pressure
returns for the weekend with near seasonable temperatures and dry conditions."
