'Very Passionate About The Work She Does': Milford Star Student
We all know students who excel in academic, fine arts or volunteer service. Here's one local resident who is having an impact in Milford.

MILFORD, CT — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.
This submission comes from Darcy M DeAngelo-Woolsey who nominated her daughter, Serina, of Milford.
Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?
Not only has Serina taken all advanced course worked offered to her at Jonathan Law while also attending the Education Center for the Arts, she has won awards and participated in school and community activities not for the prestige but for her enjoyment.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?
Serina is very passionate about the work that she does and sharing what she learns to help others. She has a true sense of knowing what is important to her, and doesn't give up even when her schedule gets busy. She has managed her time well while providing exceptional service in all of her endeavors and continuing her own self care - something that not many students her age can balance.
Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future,Serina!
