WABABA Announces New Farms to their Market

Gazy Brothers and Grateful Garden

The Walnut Beach Arts and Business Association is pleased to be bringing two new farms to join their Thursday Farmers Market this summer every Thursday from 4:00-7:00 at the Walnut Beach Pavilion at 85 Viscount Drive. The two farms are Grateful Garden and Gazy Brothers Farm.

Grateful Garden is a new family owned garden / farm from Southbury, CT that uses only organic practices in growing. They grow salad greens mix, kale, chard, arugula, carrots, salad turnips, radish, herbs, summer squash, cucumbers, slicing and cherry tomatoes, hot and super hot peppers and a few other specialty vegetables and micro greens like pea shoots, sunflower and radish. Micro greens are considered a functional food, a food that promotes health or prevents disease.

Gazy Brothers Farm out of Oxford is going on its fourth generation of farming. The Gazys currently produce approximately 25 acres of vegetables, herbs, flowers, and plants on the farm and on neighboring properties. They will be pulling in with their 24 foot truck full of produce and plants every week.
