Man Violates Probation, Charged At Walmart: Milford Police

The accused was given a bond of nearly $16,000, police said.

MILFORD, CT — A Bridgeport man, William Johnson, 51, of Edna Avenue, is accused of stealing goods from Walmart in Milford, police said.

On Jan. 6, police responded to Walmart, 1365 Boston Post Road, on a shoplifting report. Investigation led to the arrest of Johnson, who is accused of stealing more than $400 worth of goods, police said.

During the investigation it was learned that Johnson had two active arrest warrants, police said. One was for failing to appear in court in July 2019 for a larceny arrest in Stratford, which occurred in January 2019, police said.

He is also accused of violating his court set probation, police said. His bond was set at $15,995. He is charged with sixth-degree larceny, violation of probation and second-degree failure to appear.
