Weather Impacts Milford St. Patrick's Day Parade, Leprechaun Leap

With heavy rain forecast for Saturday, its led to a schedule change.

Due to the weather forecast for Saturday, March 14th, the Milford St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee has rescheduled the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade to Saturday, March 21st at 1:00pm. The parade will step-off from the Wasson Field Parking Lot on W. Main Street and marchers will make their way through the traditional downtown parade route.

The Literacy Center’s annual Leprechaun Leap is also being rescheduled from next Saturday, March 21st to Sunday, March 22nd at 1:00pm with registration from 12:00-12:45pm at Walnut Beach.

The parade begins at 1 p.m. starting at Daniel Wasson Field, which is located behind the Parsons Government Center and spanning to the end of the Green. Approximately 1,000 people will participate in the parade along with numerous floats.

Organizers have said it costs about $20,000 to organize the parade.
