Weekend Storm Emerges For CT: Here's What To Expect
Connecticut has enjoyed some quiet weather recently but that is about to change during the upcoming weekend and into Monday.

CONNECTICUT — Connecticut has seen some tranquil weather this holiday week and that will continue through Saturday and then our next storm chance emerges for Sunday and Monday. It appears that the temps will be warm enough for mainly heavy rain but there could be some sleet and even snow that mixes in at times, especially away from the coast.
Heavy rain is forecast for Sunday evening, and it is expected to continue throughout the day on Monday before tapering off in the afternoon hours. The precipitation may end on Monday evening as some sleet and snow in inland and northern sections of the state.
This forecast is less than ideal if you're traveling for the holiday. But there is some good news in that New Year's Eve and New Year's Day both look sunny with temps in the low 40s.

Tracking our next storm for Sunday night/Monday. There are some signs cold high pressure may try to push colder air south, a wintry mix is possible along with heavy rain outside of the hills. #NBCCT @nbcconnecticut https://t.co/ynQZtisTnu pic.twitter.com/llXp55Gakr
