A U.S. Army Veteran, Bill was an avid golfer and loved spending time at the beach. Beloved husband, father, grandfather.

William “Bill” Doyle, 85 of Milford passed away on July 21st surrounded by his loving family after a brave, quick unexpected fight with acute myeloid leukemia. Bill was born on December 7, 1939 in Fall River, MA to the late Frank Doyle and Bertha Coulter Doyle.

Bill moved to Milford when he was two years old and graduated from Milford High School where he starred on the golf team. He then served in the Army and was stationed in Germany during his duty. When he returned to the States, he attended and graduated Barton College in North Carolina where he played golf and was a member of Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity.

Bill met and married his future life partner Susanne in Milford. They married and had two children and raised them in the Heatherstone part of Milford. He worked most of his career as a Purchasing Manager for large telecommunication companies.

What Bill enjoyed most was being around his four grandchildren. He did not miss a game, whether it was basketball, baseball, lacrosse, cross country, or golf. He watched them play from elementary age to high school age. It brought him so much joy to watch them play. Golf was always one of his passions, he loved to play and when things went wrong it was never his fault. It was the club or the balls fault! He was a life long Red Sox fan and never missed a Mens or Womens basketball game on TV.

Bills other passion was travelling with Susanne. They enjoyed cruises Mediterranean and Caribbean, traveling internationally, vacation homes with family and friends, as well as weekend getaways. His most cherished vacation was the one he lived every day. He moved fifteen years ago to Woodmont to be near the water, a house that Bill anointed “The Doyle Beachhouse”. He enjoyed his walks by the beach, talking to anyone who would listen, but in recent years he just loved being out on the deck watching the water and visiting with all the neighbors.
