Winner Revealed In Milford House District Democratic Primary

MILFORD, CT — Alderman Toni Lombardi has won the Democratic primary for the 118th state House District, according to unofficial numbers from the state. She will face Republican Steve Visconti in November.

Lombardi defeated Christopher Saley in the primary race.

"Tonight, the voters of the 118th District placed their trust in me, and I could not be more grateful," Lombardi wrote on Facebook.

"This victory belongs to every person who knocked on a door, made a call, stood at the polls, put up a sign, shared our message, or simply offered a word of encouragement along the way.

"Thank you to my family, our incredible volunteers, and every voter who believed in this campaign. We built something truly special together.

"Now, we move forward united and ready to win in November. I am honored to be your Democratic nominee and ready to keep fighting for Milford.

"From the bottom of my heart, thank you."

Lombardi won over Saley by a count of 1,129 to 419 in Tuesday’s primary, according to unofficial numbers from the state.

Democrat Frank Smith currently represents the 118th House District and is not running for reelection.
