Wintry Precipitation Forecast For Coastal Sections Of Southern CT

The weather service said there are several upcoming chances for wintry weather in coastal sections of southern Connecticut.

COASTAL SECTIONS OF SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT — It looks like winter is going to attempt to show itself this week. Ironically, temperatures soared to nearly 60 degrees on Monday and in several hours we may see some snowflakes.

The National Weather Service said we can expect precipitation to develop after midnight, and it's forecast to be a mix of light rain and snow. The mixed precipitation is forecast to continue through the Tuesday morning commute before it tapers off mid-morning, the weather service said. No snow accumulation is expected.

Rain is forecast again for Tuesday night. Coastal sections of southern Connecticut may see another round of snow, sleet and rain showers on Wednesday afternoon. Any mixed precipitation is forecast to change to plain rain Wednesday night, the weather service said.
