Woman Died At Milford Motel Due To Fatal Overdose; Arrest Made
A man is facing a litany of charges after he sold drugs to a woman who died due to an overdose, police said.

MILFORD, CT — A woman died due to a drug overdose at a Milford motel and a man is accused of selling her drugs, according to police.
Police responded to a report of an unresponsive woman at the Super 8 Motel at 1015 Boston Post Road at 9:24 a.m., March 15.
Firefighters declared the 28-year-old woman dead.

Officers spoke to the caller who told police he believed the woman had died from an accidental overdose after she took drugs the night before.
Among the victim's belongings, police found a container filled with Xanax, numerous containers of unlabeled pills, and a powdered white substance consistent with crack cocaine.

Police seized the victim's cell phone as evidence and found text messages regarding the victim buying drugs from a man identified as Gerome Eldridge, 43, of Bridgeport, currently living at the Motel 6 in Milford.
Police obtained an arrest warrant for Eldridge and charged him with one count of illegal distribution of narcotics.
Police searched his room and vehicle Thursday. Officers found substances that tested positive as opiates, crack cocaine, and Xanax among his belongings, according to police.
They also found multiple narcotic pills, a large box believed to be cutting agents, numerous wax fold packaging materials, baggies, drug scales, 12 cell phones, and over 23 grams of suspected marijuana, police said.
Eldridge was charged with three counts of possession with intent to sell narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, operation of a drug factory, and narcotics not in original container.
He was held on a total bond of $100,000 and taken to Milford court on Thursday.
