$20,000 Winning CT Scratch-Off Lottery Ticket Sold In Monroe

A local resident also is the lucky winner, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

MONROE, CT — A Monroe resident is $20,000 richer this week after claiming a winning lottery ticket purchased locally, the Connecticut Lottery announced.

On Wednesday, Rana Wassouf Dib claimed a winning "20X Cash 7th Edition" ticket purchased at the Super Stop and Shop on Monroe Turnpike.

The game, which costs $20 per ticket, began in August 2021, and as of Thursday, 51 grand prizes of $20,000 remained unclaimed.

More than 2.1 million tickets have been printed, and the overall odds of winning are 1 in 4.08.
