3 Monroe K-8 Schools In CT's Top 50: U.S. News & World Report
More than 80,000 elementary and middle schools in the U.S. were included in the report, including 848 in Connecticut.

MONROE, CT — Three K-8 schools in Monroe have been named among the top 50 in Connecticut in a new report by U.S. News & World Report, and one of those schools made the top 10.
Monroe Elementary School was the town's highest ranked school, coming in at #6, while Stepney Elementary School came in at #39, and Fawn Hollow Elementary School was #42.
For the inaugural list, U.S. News published rankings and data on more than 80,000 public elementary and middle schools across the United States.

In Connecticut, a total of 848 schools were ranked, 560 elementary and 288 middle schools.
Schools are ranked at the state and district levels. The best charter schools and best magnet schools ranked as stand-alone categories.

U.S. News ranked Booth Free School in Roxbury as the top in Connecticut among elementary schools, according to the new list.
