6 Hospitalized Following 3-Vehicle Crash In Monroe: FD
An investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing, officials said.
MONROE, CT — Six people were injured in a serious multi-vehicle crash Monday evening, officials said.
The three-vehicle accident happened around 6:20 p.m. at the intersection of Route 110 and Wheeler Road, according to the Monroe Volunteer Fire Department No.1 Inc.
The crash caused the closure of Route 110 for hours Monday.

Six individuals were transported to the hospital due to their injuries, officials said. The extent of their injuries was not immediately available as of Tuesday morning.

Fire officials said bystanders stopped to help the victims in the rain. Police, fire and ambulance personnel responded to the scene, and out of town mutual aid paramedics and ambulances also provided assistance, officials said.
