Amazon Leases 25 Acre Monroe Property For Parking: Report
The parking lot will service the online retail giant's Trumbull distribution facility.
MONROE, CT — Online retail giant Amazon, which has a distribution facility in Trumbull, is leasing a 25 acre property in Monroe to serve as a parking lot for its vehicles, the Connecticut Post reported.
The vacant property on Victoria Drive was once thought to be the future site of a Walmart Supercenter, but those plans were scrapped.
Amazon will be able to park more than 650 vans on the property, in addition to more than 40 cars. The site also will have a 10,000 structure and a small guard house.
