MONROE, CT — Residents are invited to take part in a community cleanup event at Wolfe Park later this month as part of an Earth Week celebration.
The "Keeping America Beautiful Community Clean Up Day,” is scheduled for Saturday, April 25 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Rotary Pavilion at Wolfe Park.
Organizers said the town wide volunteer effort will focus on refreshing the park’s pavilion and playground areas, with participants of all ages encouraged to attend.
The event is being held in recognition of Earth Week and America’s upcoming 250th anniversary, officials said.
The cleanup is sponsored by the Masuk Interact Club, the Monroe CT 250 Committee, and the town’s Public Works Department.
Those interested in participating can sign up online or contact organizers for more information.
