The approved fiscal year 2026-27 budget totals about $113.6 million, up from roughly $108.2 million in the current fiscal year 2025-26 budget.

The spending plan also includes a proposed mill rate increase from 28.67 to 29.88, according to previously released budget documents.

Town officials said the mill rate increase is tied to rising education, operating and capital costs.

The referendum followed weeks of budget discussions leading up to Tuesday’s vote.
