Emaciated Dog Found With Open Sores In Monroe, Animal Control Says

Animal Control is asking for help finding the owner after the dog was found without a microchip.

MONROE, CT — Monroe Animal Control is asking for the public's help identifying the owner of an emaciated dog found with numerous open sores.

The female Pocket Pit or bully breed-type mix was found in the area of Barn Hill Road and East Village Road, according to Animal Control.

Officials described the dog as brown and tan and said she was emaciated when she was found.

The dog also had "numerous open compression sores all over her body," Animal Control said.

Officials scanned the dog with a universal scanner but did not find a microchip.

Anyone with information about the dog's owner is asked to contact Monroe Animal Control at 203-452-3760.
