Irish Dance - The Worlds 2013 - in Boston

 The Irish are Coming !!!


Boston, Massachusetts is the host city to the World Championships of Irish Dancing 2013. This is only the second time in more than forty years the World Championships will take place in North America, the first being Philadelphia in 2009. More than 7,000 dancers from
around the world will be participating in the " Olympics" of Irish Dance. Among those are 51 students from Lenihan School of Irish Dance which holds classes in Fairfield, Monroe, and throughout Connecticut.


Seven students from the Lenihan School have accomplished the qualification for solo dance competition thereby representing all New England.
All members of the school travelling to Boston will vie for awards in team dances.

Monroe dancers MacKenzie Prendergast and Gretchen Bunovsky have achieved placement on Team Lenihan for the Worlds 2013.
