Annual Monroe Giving Tree Program Runs Through Dec. 1

"Every year, the Monroe community generously purchases gifts for town residents in need during the holiday season."

MONROE, CT — Gifts will be collected through Dec. 1 for the annual Monroe Giving Tree Program, according to organizers.

"Every year, the Monroe community generously purchases gifts for town residents in need during the holiday season," organizers said.

Wrapped gifts can be left in the lobby of the Monroe Police Department (open 24 hours/7 days a week) or the lobby of the Edith Wheeler Memorial Library during the following hours:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Thursday: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Friday & Saturday: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Organizers ask donators to clearly mark wrapped gifts with the tag number (i.e. 101A) on the outside of the gift. Monetary donations also will be accepted by the Social Services Exhange Fund.
