Aspiring Actors in Monroe: Check Out Reality TV Show Deer Hill Avenue and You Could be on TV!
The show takes place in Danbury and stars i95's Lou Milano. Tuesday's premiere is being sponsored by Brookfield radio station i95 FM.

Check out the premiere of Danbury’s newest reality TV show, Deer Hill Avenue, on Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 6 p.m. at the Ridgefield Playhouse, and you could be on TV!
The show features the Rundhaug family whose patriarch Kirk Rundhaug, and his crew of house flippers, work to restore mansions on a tree-lined Danbury street, making it a desirable real estate market. Celebrity broker Kirk Rundhaug runs his operation out of his home, surrounded by his family, his business associates and his a mooching construction worker, who lives in the basement.
The show was written by B & B Productions, Kevin Burns and John Balis, is being produced by Michelle Moran Moriarty and B & B Productions, and is directed by Fairfield filmmaker Brean Cunningham and Adam Pierce.

Cunningham, who comes from a documentary film background, said the switch from films about compassion and emotion to a more lighthearted comedic genre is refreshing.
“I cut my teeth in documentary filmmaking. You need a certain type of skill set to pull off film and TV. There’s a certain amount of wrangling of people and staying on top of their schedules. It’s never as easy as it sounds,” Cunningham said.

Shoots are generally 10-12 hours, Cunningham explained, which can add to the drama, but he said the cast and crew have fun on and off camera.
“The team is outstanding and everyone is so easy to work with. That’s what I love about it.”
During Tuesday’s premiere at the Ridgefield Playhouse, the production company will be filming part of a future episode. Attendees can meet casting directors and possibly appear on camera for a future episode.
