Blue Devils Rediscover Their Winning Ways
Team does well in Monroe Parks and Recreation 5th and 6th Grade Boys Basketball League
The Blue Devils had quite the jaw dropping week, knocking off the Knights behind the combined efforts of guards Jed Wittenberger and Zach Hunter; and later using Chris Gianini’s 9 points to edge the Owls 29-25.
Drake Marchese and Noah Kinard were leading scorers for their respective teams.
Both the Owls and Knights would each have key victories during the week; Matt Rooney led a well balanced Owls offense with 8 points guiding his team to a 40-25 triumph over the Bulldogs, led by Mickey Zuk’s 12 points.

Drake Marchese again led his team with 13 points, as the Knights topped the Warriors 24-21. Alex Barrett led Warriors with 11 points.
Other league action saw the Eagles continue their winning ways with a 40-32 victory ove the Bobcats. Andrew Ciancetta led his team with 14 points, as Richard Condon led all Bobcats with 6 points.

The Bobcats fell short later in the week in the form of a 35-32 loss to Peter Cosmedy and the Falcons.
The Falcons too would come up short in a 34-30 nailbiting loss to the Bantams. Kyle Immel had a great all around game for the Falcons. Stephen Murphy had the hot hand with 10 points for the Bantams.
The final game of the week pitted the Pioneers versus the Chargers. Ryan Lee’s fundamentals overcame a strong charge led by Matthew Manjos with 13 points.
