On Sunday, June 14, 2026 the Monroe Republican Town Committee will celebrate Flag Day with a food drive to benefit the Monroe Food Pantry. 
The drive will be held at the Monroe Stop &amp; Shop on Monroe Turnpike from 11 am – 3pm. For a list of items needed, please visit <a href="https://www.monroect.gov/p/items-needed" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">https://www.monroect.gov/p/items-needed</a>.
For every donation received, the Monroe RTC will be giving away an American Flag or a 250th Anniversary commemorative flag, while supplies last.

The event is part of Monroe’s ongoing recognition of the upcoming 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, encouraging all residents to reflect on how diverse people influenced the events of the American Revolution and the role each of us plays in shaping our community.
