“Light Up Monroe” – July 4, 2026

Celebrate America’s 250th anniversary by joining your neighbors and “Light Up Monroe” at DUSK on SATURDAY, JULY 4^TH.

The Monroe CT 250 Committee and the Monroe Women’s Club invite residents to purchase luminaries to light up THEIR NEIGHBORHOOD OR BUSINESS to commemorate America’s 250^th birthday. Luminaries are sold for $5.00 per dozen (bags and candles included). Please order your luminaries at the Women’s Club’s website http://www.monroewomensclub.org/ by June 19^, 2026 so deliveries can be made the weekend of June 20, 2026. The event is part of Monroe’s ongoing recognition of the upcoming 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and ties into “Light to Unite”, the National Flag Foundation’s (NFF) national movement asking cities, to the extent possible, to light up buildings and landmarks in either red, white, or blue a national evening of unity to celebrate our nation’s 250th Birthday.
