Changes Coming to Rte. 25, 59 Intersection in Monroe
Residents have voiced their concerns regarding traffic flow in the intersection.

MONROE, CT — If you drive on Rte. 25 during rush hour, you know how bad the traffic blockage can be at the Rte. 59 and Green Street intersections. Residents spoke out, and the town has announced plans to address the issue.
The Town of Monroe Facebook Page announced Friday that the Connecticut Department of Transportation has analyzed the concerns of residents and developed a new traffic flow pattern. The town says the new plan should ease traffic problems including the new Cumberland Farms Gas Station and Shopping center under construction.
The town further said that weather permitting, the intersection will be re-lined completely. You can view the plans in the picture above, and a bigger picture will be available at town hall.
